Santa came to our house this year! We all got ready for Church before opening up Christmas. The kids were waiting patiently. They were excited to see what Santa brought them. Megan first walked into the room and saw the gifts and said, "Santa must really like us, cause that's a lot of presents." Spencer was overwhelmed with it and couldn't stop unwrapping them and wanting to play with them, but he enjoyed unwrapping them as they came.

Doug and I were overwhelmed with the gifts that we found on our porch on Christmas Eve Night arriving home after dinner at his parents. The gifts were from Santa. They were not from either parents nor family members, they were from SANTA. We knew it was small Christmas this year for the kids and we were okay with that. However, we certainly appreciate the extra help and we will pass it forward.

The kids received many gifts that they loved and enjoyed. Lots of clothes, hats, gloves, socks and books and toys from Santa. Thank you Santa for making this Christmas a very special one. Megan got a Barbie Jet and Spencer got a Remote Control Truck (like Daddy's). When he unwrapped it, he said, "Daddy's, Daddy's" We kept telling him, "No, it's yours" then it clicked and he said, "Mine!! Yea!!" He was really excited to know that it was his and not dad's. He loves playing with it.

Wagon Ride Hardware Ranch Utah

On Friday, December 23rd, we took a drive up to Hardware Ranch Utah to take a Wagon Ride on an Elk Ranch. It was cold but good weather. As you can see, there was hardly any snow. The wait wasn't too long and the kids really enjoyed the wagon ride to see the elk up close.
The kids are wearing their owl hats that were handmade by Doug's cousin Bryn Melo.

Megan's Kindergarten Christmas Program on Thursday, 12/22 @ 6:00 pm

All the kindergarten classes at Hayden Peak. Megan loves to sing christmas songs and she did an excellent job. I'm so proud of her. My favorite song was Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer. When the children started to sing, they placed a BIG red circle on their nose as they sang the song. It was the cutest thing ever!!!!

Megan's 6th Birthday! I can't believe my baby girl is 6 years old!!! I bought some delicious mini cupcakes at a boutique that day. The cupcakes were yummy and everyone enjoyed them. She got a Tennis Racket from Uncle Dan, and it's PURPLE! She loves it!! Grandma took her and Spencer out for a tennis lesson. She got a tutu, shirt, purse, flower clip from Mom & Dad and an apron, leggins and necklace from Grandma & Grandpa Prawitt. We then went to RED ROBIN on her birthday and she LOVED the desert the most!!! Happy Birthday to Miss Megan!!!!

The Funniest Thing Ever!!

The other day, I charged Megan's ipod and she was soooo excited that she had found it and she could listen to music. So, Doug, I and the kids were out and about when Megan said, "Hey, my ipod has celery" when she noticed that her ipod still had battery power after one day. Doug and I were laughing so hard that she said, "Hey, I know what you guys are doing, you are making fun of me." So, the rest of the afternoon, we joked around with her and asked her if her ipod has carrots, broccoli and so on.... Soooo Funny!

Happy Halloween 2011!!! It was a very busy day for us, WHEW!!!
We carved pumpkins Sunday night with the kids and Megan picked out the designs. She helped clean them out BUT Spencer did not want too. However, towards the end when we were all getting into it, he wanted help and play in it. I got some great pictures of him.

Monday, Megan had her school parade and that was a lot of FUN!! Uncle Jon and Grandma Susan came. That was a lot of fun!!! Afterwards, I offered to help out in the class for the Halloween Party. They had several different stations to go to and have lots and lots of fun!! All the kids were super cute and goofy. Then, took a group picture. Her teacher 'Miss Warmer' is the sweetest thing ever!!

Uncle Jon came to help out and thank goodness he did... I don't know what I would have done with Spencer. After the parade, he took him out to breakfast and returned just in time when school was done. Thank you Jon for your help!!

Then we took off to Daddy's work, they were having trick o treaters and a chili pot luck. Mmmmm Yummy! The kids loved going to desk to desk getting treats.

So, the kids were able to see both grandparents throughout the day for we planned on going trick o treating around the neighborhood. The kids had soooo much fun that they were tired by the time we got home and went to bed fast asleep!!

What a day!!! Next year, we will do things a little differently so we can enjoy the day.

Today, 9/15/11 - I was picking some peaches and apples from Dad's garden to dry. At my house, we all love dried fruit!! Awhile I was there I was asked to take a couple of pictures of the backyard fence, because the Bangerter Highway Wall will be removed and will be open to the highway. My parents won't have any privacy for awhile until the project is complete. The city did put up a chain link fence, but it's only temporary and it's chain link not stone wall. Anyways, I couldn't help myself but take a few more (okay a lot more) pictures of the 'fruit of labor' in the garden. So, here are a few pictures for my blog follows.....

DELICIOUS!!! Nothing tastes better than fresh peach off the tree. :))

They are everywhere!!!! So many to choose from and Dad does this so everyone in the family can have a pumpkin for Halloween to decorate, eat, bake pumpkin seeds, carve. Thank you Dad for providing a pumpkin (a handful) every year.

Star Student

Megan was "Star Student" this week (9/6 - 9/9). I was invited to come to class and help Megan talk about her and what her Chart said. She is the Teacher's helper this week and loves passing out paper to each of her peers. She loves Kindergarten!!

Butterflies

We have butterflies!! We still have three in their cocoons.

Butterflies have hatched!! We have three more that are still in cocoons. These two butterflies are "Jesse" and "Buzz". Megan released the butterflies the next day since their wings were dry and they were ready to fly. Such beautiful and amazing creatures!!! This is a Male Butterfly. You can see two small black dots on the inside wings closer to his body. If the butterfly has these spots, it's a male. So, this one was BUZZ. This is my favorite picture. You get the picture of the butterfly and then Megan smiling in the background. So sweet!!

Over the past month, we have been lucky to watch a little caterpillar egg turn into a giant caterpillar then to a cocoon and soon to be a Monarch Butterfly. I have attached a few pictures of the different stages.

We have a total of 5 (five) caterpillar cocoons and two of them are already beginning to show their beutiful wings through the cocoon. Megan and Spencer have enjoyed doing this as a family, actually we all have. When they hatch, we had to make sure that they had fresh milk weed to feed on, so that meant we had to go and find, pick and set milk weed in their habitat each day. (Habitat = Fish Aquarium). When they started getting bigger, we added sticks for them to crawl on and soon hang upside down to start their cocoon.

If you have never done this with your kids, you should!! It's incredible to watch and an experience that will last a life time. I wouldn't have been able to start this, if it wasn't for my sister, Heather. I'm not sure how many she has, but I wan to say around 13 (thirteen).

As soon as they hatch, I will be posting pictures for all you.

Also, the kids have named all five. Can you guess their names?

Buzz in a cocoon and Jesse starting the stage of cocoon. Watching them go into a cocoon stage is pretty amazing, it only takes a few minutes.

Zoo Day!!!

We went to the Zoo today with Uncle Steve, Aunt Heather, Aunt Heidi, Uncle Josh, Aunt Lani and cousins: Sho, Hayleigh, Rykken, Ellie and Jayden. We were able to see a lot of animal activity due to ice blocks being placed in their habitat. We watch a bird show the kids enjoyed it. Spencer kept saying.... "WOW" and pointing. Megan was fansinated with the larger birds and rainbow colored ones too. A 'BIG' thanks to Uncle Steve inviting everyone out today!!

Arizona Trip

Gosh... it's been a long time since I have blogged. I need to get back into the swing of things and start posting again. :))

We took a trip to Arizona over the weekend to visit Christy, Jared and the boys. The drive was worth it and we enjoyed every minute. Thanks for letting us come down and pay with ya'll. Here are a few pictures of the adventure.

It's been awhile since I have posting anything. The kids and I have been busy playing and having fun. Daddy is working lots of long days (tax season) so, it's just me and the kidos. They are so sweet and I love that I am home with them. Here are some pictures to enjoy....

Charly is not afraid of the water, in fact she loves to be around the kids wherever they are. We are working on puppy potty training, it's a lot of work! I would love to get Spencer potty trained, but he is not interested at all and I'm not really sure on how to potty train a boy. If you have any suggestions, please comment.

She is a phantom yorkie, which have white chest and very light tan and white markings on her face and legs. She is a purebred yorkie and 8 weeks old.

Today, Spencer turned 2 years old. I can't believe it myself!! Where did time go? We plan on celebrating with family later this week, since he is under the weather with a head cold.

Who doesn't love the quiet game? I do. Especially, when I need a little peace and quiet. This week during preschool, they were learning the letter " Q ". On Thursday, they played the quiet game, and she won. She was SUPER excited to tell me that she won and she got to pick out a prize. She picked out Sleeping Beauty crayons. Megan is an excellent player and loves to play the game while we are in the car. Way to Go - Megs!!

Well, today was the first time that Doug and I left Spencer in the nursery with the other kids and teachers. We were able to sneak out without being seen. However.... he did have a couple of meltdowns, but the teacher was so kind and loving that she was able to calm him down and get him involved with toys and snacks. Doug and I were able to attend class without kids. I picked up Spencer from nursery and the teacher said that he was okay at first, but then cryed and then stopped. He then headed for the door, pulled the handle down and opened the door and took off running. She said that he was down the hall by the relief society doors before she could catch up with him. She said that he is quick and runs fast. She picked him up and took him back for another meltdown, but was able to calm him down. He was glad to see me and ran to me with open arms. What a BIG boy!!!

Funny moments...
1. Megan asked me to use "Human Words" the other day. (I was answering her with a Na huh) I asked her what are human words? She said that's when BIG people talk.

2. We were going to the grocery store and Megan said that her window stinked like dog. I told her that she was being funny and she replied that she was serious. Then I responded that she was pulling my leg. (I wondered what response she would give me on that). She said, "No, I'm not pulling your leg. Someone has to be pulling you and that's pulling your leg. So, I'm not pulling you. I'm being serious."

Deal or No Deal

Megan was Grandma's Susan home for the afternoon today to help her out and hang out. Grandma has been sick for the past week, so we have not visited but we called each day. Anyways, Grandma needed some help with bringing up the packages to take to the post office. She asked Megan several different ways then offered her a $1.00 if she would help. She had to think about it for a few minutes and then said she would. The task was completed and then loaded into the car for a trip to the post office. As they were in the car, Megan asks Grandma, "Let's make a deal, how about I get a $1.00 and an icecream cone." Grandma agreed and Megan came home with an icecream cone and a $1.00. She had a lot of fun!! Thanks Mom for taking Megan for the afternoon.

How cute is this...

Megan was watching Dinosaur Train this morning and the Mother Pterandon flew to her nest to see her eggs hatch. She had three little pteranodons named, Tiny, Shiny and Don. But, there was one more egg and it was a baby T-Rex who she named Buddy. Mrs Pteranodon adopted Buddy. Megan likes to repeat what she saw, so she said, "Mom, this is how it goes. The mom poops out an egg and then the baby cracks it open and they are born, uh?" I told her that it was layed an egg not pooped an egg. She understands now. But I thought it was funny and had to share. I love my sweet miss megan. Little Minds, Little People!

Today has been an interesting one for me and it's only noon.....
First, Megan tells me that her tummy hurts and it only hurts when she is sitting up, so she has to go lay down. I get her a drink and her blanket. She then tells me that her tummy will feel better in 2 minutes. I'm thinking, 'Really, a 2 minute tummy ache, uh...let's see'. She gave me an update that she had 1 minute left and then.... BAM. No more tummy ache. She is all better and can play. Amazing!!
Second, I caught Spencer putting toys, clothes, legos into the toliet. This was the first time he had played in the bathroom and the last time. (except in the tub). I can't believe it... Megan never played in the toliet. Is this something little boys do? Now if I am missing anything, I know now where to look. (Before it was the garbage can)

I have updated my blog with the newest and greatest pictures of the kids. Thanks to Sarah Knight Photography. She does an amazing job and I love her work. We met up at the Black Goose in Midvale last Thursday for a 20 minute shoot on the kids for valentines. It was a little chilly, so we took the kids into The Black Goose Design to warm them up. I'm in love with this store. They have great stuff. If you haven't been, you should go. Just to look around if anything. It's my new favorite shop.

Megan had her 5 year old check up yesterday, she got four shots. Ouch!! She was a big girl and didn't cry at all. The doctor gave her a free icecream cone. :) The ride home wasn't bad until she had to get out of the car... she started walking and stopped and said, "My legs really hurt, oh I wonder why?" The good news is that she doesn't have to get shots until 7th grade. She was excited to hear about that. Now she is ready to start Kindergarten this coming September. Yea!!

We had to run to the store to get Megan treats for preschool. It would be a quick trip for it was like 22 degrees here. We bundled up with our coats on, but Megan needed to wear her pink baseball hat and sunglasses. As we were walking towards Target I had said, "Brrrr it's cold" Megan said, "It's a good thing I wore my sunglasses, uh mom?" I asked her why that is. She responded, "So my eye's wouldn't get cold"
So, if you ever need to keep your eye's warm, put on a pair of sunglasses. :)

For Christmas 2010... the kids received some fun gifts from Santa. We love Toy Story 1, 2 and 3. We could watch any one of those movies again and again.

Spencer received Buzz Lightyear, his face tells it all.

I can't believe it's 2011, that just seems weird to me. Um... oh well, a new year, a new start. I am excited to begin. We celebrated the new years at the Stockbergers home with family and lots of children. I believe I counted 16 kids. Megan and Spencer loved playing with all the kids and all the toys. We spent the night to allow even more playtime with everyone. We had lots of fun! Thanks to the Stockbergers for hosting a GREAT party!!!

Happy Halloween 2010!! We went to Gardner Village to see witches and take some fantastic pictures and then off to the mall for trick or treat. We had dinner at the Training Table, cheesy fries sounded delicious ~ and they were. :)

Megan was Fancy Nancy. I believe that there was no other fancy nancy's around. She was the only one. Her costume was a hit!!

Spencer was a Corpse Groom, his bride was Eli. The two of them were a hit!!

Megan turned "5" on Sunday, October 17th. I can't believe it!! We celebrated her birthday on Saturday with family, because daddy had to work at the guard base on Sunday. We went to Red Robin (YUM) for dinner and came back to the house for cake and icecream and presents. Megan had only asked for two things... A horse that her barbies can ride on and a dog for her barbies to play with. Her birthday wishes came true. She was tickled pink with her presents from grandparents and mom & dad. She is such a sweetheart. We love you Meg!!

Spencer and Megan went to Cookie Cutter on Saturday for a well needed haircut. As you can see below, Spencer was not liking it at all!! Zoo Day

We took the kids to the Zoo yesterday. Finally a Saturday without rain or wind. Spencer didn't really care for the animals as much as pushing or walking with the stroller. He is so "Mr. Independent". Megan enjoyed the monkeys, giraffes, elephants (mom and baby), rhinos, birds, tigers and cotton candy.

Megan wanted her haircut because Mommy had her haircut. We took Megan to Cookie Cutter's on Saturday, May1st. She picked out a movie to watch, sat in an airplane and watched as her hair was cut. She wanted it short with bangs, like Mommy. They cut at least 5 inches off.... I love my Meg's new haircut, she is adorable. xoxo Mom

Feed the Ducks

The kids and I feed the ducks on Friday, April 23rd. Megan loved throwing her small pieces of bread up and over the fence because it make Spencer laugh. Spencer loved eating the bread..."three for me and one for the you (duck)." It's amazing what you can do for a $1.00.

We went to Arizona for Thanksgiving to visit Christy, Jared and their boys for the long holiday weekend. Megan was super excited to see Zachy and Connor. As we started our 11 hour drive, Megan immediately began to sing, "I'm going to Zachy's, I'm going to Zachy's, here I come, here I come." It was very cute. We had a few stops along the way to our destination. Our first official stop was the Glen Canyon Dam. Megan was in awe when we went into the visitor center to overlook the Dam. We also took a stoll along the bridge to get a better view.

The boys played X Box and while the girls cooked a successful Thanksgiving Dinner. It was Delicious!! Hats off to the chefs :) The kids played their little hearts out and never took a nap.

The kids finally fell asleep at midnight and the rest of us stayed up for Black Friday to begin.

9 Months Old

Spencer is 9 months old and he is pulling himself up, he is such a big boy. He will be walking before Christmas.

What a handsome boy!!

Spencer's 9 month check up on 11/13/09 results are in... Weight 19.5 lbs (50%) Height 29 1/4 (80%) Head 45.2 (50%). He graduates to a new carseat facing rear until he turns one. (Megan's old carseat because Megan finally hit 30 lbs and can now sit in a toddler booster seat.) The doctor say's to limit ramen noodles to 1x a month and no sugar or salt. Only baby food at this time.

Mini Minerete

Megan was a mini minerete on Thursday, November 19th. She had practice on Saturday, Wednesday and then performed on Thursday. She made a lot of friends and had a lot of fun. If you asked her today to show you her little dance, she can do it. She has a great memory. We are looking at placing her in dance. We are so proud of our little girl. Way to go ~ Meg!!!

It was a happy halloween at the Prawitt's home. We took the kids to the mall to trick or treat. Megan was Alice in Wonderland and Spencer was The White Rabbit. Thanks to Heather and Grandma for making a beautiful Alice in Wonderland for Megan. I found Spencer's costume online at Khol's. We also hung out with Cameron, Lani and Ellie. Ellie was a beautiful witch. (costume made by Heather) The kids has a blast and it turned up being a Fantastic Halloween for all of us. After trick or treating at the mall, we went to Gardner Village to get a couple of pictures of the kids with pumpkins.

I can't believe my baby girl is 4 years old. She had a birthday party with all of her friends and family last Saturday, October 17th. It was a lot of fun to have everyone around to help celebrate Megan's 4th birthday. She received many happy birthday phone calls and mail that day. She was very excited all day. As we were running to the party store to get balloons, Megan asked, "Mommy, when's my birthday?" I replied, "It's today." Megan asked, "Right now?" I replied, "Yes, right now, all day. Today is your birthday." She was very excited to hear that it was her birthday right now. Thanks to everyone making her birthday special.

Utah State Fair

We went to the Utah State Fair on Friday, September 11th with Cameron and Lani and their friends. Doug had an open house at Tanner at 5:30 pm till 7:00 pm and I wanted to go to the Utah State Fair to see a friend's daughter perform. Cameron and Lani bailed us out of a bind and was willing to watch the kids and take them to the fair grounds where we could meet them after the open house. They had such a blast with them and even offered to take them so we could do a date night. Anyways, we met them at the fair and Megan saw rabbits, cows, goats (I believe we all saw Billy Goat Gruff, see one of the pics below), pony, singers, and rides.

Megan rode a pony, ate cotton candy that was tall as Marge Simpson's hair, tasted a fried twinkie and cheesecake and petted a rabbit. Megan loved every minute.

Spencer on the otherhand, enjoyed a ride in the stroller and at times he was fast asleep until the music startled him awake. He enjoyed the time as well.

Doug and I were tired by the end of the night, we were ready for bed.

Weekend Getaway to California!!

Weekend Getaway!! Christy and I went to Cali for the two days and one night. We met in LAX airport and stayed at the Renaissance Montura Los Angeles Airport Hotel on Saturday night. We rented a car and took several trips back and forth to the Manhattan Beach. It was perfect weather and we couldn't of picked a better weekend. We had such a peaceful, enjoyable and fun weekend. Christy signed up for Surf Lessons and she was successful on surfing and riding the waves. I would post some pic of Christy surfing, however, she might not appreciate it, so I will not. However, here are some pic of California. Gosh, isn't the BEACH gorgeous?

What kid doesn't like ice cream? We stopped at Chick Fil A for some ice cream on our way home from Grandma and Grandpa Mecham's. The past couple of times, I have given Spencer just a taste or two, but tonight was different. He wanted the ice cream cone and determined!! If he couldn't have mine, he was going to have Megan's. So, we let little Spencer have a ice cream cone tonight. He LOVES ice cream!! It was a lot of fun to see him enjoy the ice cream cone, however, let's just say that the last picture tells you what happened next. I love my little guy!

Old House New House

Well, if you haven't heard yet.... Doug and I sold our condo on June 15th and moved in with my parents for a few weeks while we were in the process of closing on our new home in West Jordan.

We closed today and will be moving in next week. We are SuPeR ExcIteD!!! I will be posting some pictures of the new home once we get settled in. Stay tuned.....

Our house is 3 beds with 2 baths. A beautiful kitchen with lots of cubboards and an island. A great room and dinning area. The front yard is completed with landscaping and sprinklers, so we have our work cut out for us on the backyard.

I headed back to work on Friday, May 8th. I forgot how much fun it is to work but also being a mother is a lot of fun too. They both are rewarding to me. One of these days, I will find a happy medium. Megan and Spencer are being watched by their loving Grandmother's. They are very anxious to start watching them again. I am so grateful for Grandma's and Grandpa's, what would I do without them? A BIG thank you to both of my mother's!!!!

80' Movies Day

Megan and I watch a 'Harry and the Henderson's' and 'Short Circuit'. Megan enjoyed both of them. It was a lot of FUN to have a movie day with my 3 year old daughter and see her enjoy the same movies that I did when I was young.

At first, she was scared of 'Harry' the BIG FOOT until he smiled and started doing silly things with the Henderson's. Megan was intriguid with 'Number 5'.

She laughed when he made the other robots mimic the Three Stooges.

Bubbles and more bubbles

We took advantage of a SUNNY DAY last week and sat on our patio/deck and blew bubbles. Megan loves bubbles and lots of them. If she could, she would stay would blow bubbles all day.

Potty Training at NiGhT

Megan started Potty Training at NiGhT on March 25th and has done very well. The first 7 days in without having an accident at night, she was given a trip to the toy store to pick out a toy. She wanted Baby Abby Cadabby. She did really well for the next three weeks and then we got off track BUT we are back on. Doug and I have figured out that she works really hard if there is a reward (what child doesn't?). So, we are reinforcing the rewards and very proud of our little BIG girl. As you can see in the pic, Megan and I made her a potty training at night chart. She is very excited when she wakes up in the morning with no accidents and gets to glue a crown or a dress to her chart. No More Pull Ups!!!!! Her next REWARD is a Sleeping Beauty Barbie.

Guess Who Came to Visit?

Megan's best friends came into town on Easter weekend. When Megan heard the news that Zach and Connor were coming to town to visit and come to her house to play, she was so excited that she talked about it nonstop. While the adults played RISK, the kids played with Geo Tracks and Geo Air. The kids had a blast playing with each other. Also, if you were wondering who won at RISK, it was Doug. It was a good game.
Easter morning, we awoke Megan and the first thing she said was, "Is Zachy still here?" She played her heart out and enjoyed every moment. We love our friends and very thankful that they were able to stop by for a visit while they were in town.

The Easter Bunny came to our house and left a bucket full of treats for Megan and Spencer. In fact, the Easter Bunny made it easy for Megan to find her bucket for he left a trail of jelly beans behind. Megan recieved two cinderella dolls (working cinderella and married cinderella, as Megan says.)

Spencer's Blessing

For those of you that were not able to attend Spencer's blessing yesterday due to weather, illness, work or little ones needing care from mommy and daddy, attached are a few pictures. Doug and I understand completely, no worries and no hurt feelings. Spencer Douglas Prawitt was blessed yesterday by Doug. It was a beautiful blessing! Also, we had received 4 inches of snow. We had a lot of family attend the event and we thank you all for your love and support. Grandma Mecham put a lot of love, work and hours into making Spencer a beautiful white sweater with baby blue within it. She also made a dotted white super soft blanket from her new sewing machine. Plus, she spent a lot of hours shopping, looking and running around for the perfect blessing outfit which was found at 'Sunday's Child' in Salt Lake. A BIG hug and thank you to my mother for her help on making this day even more special. Thank you!! Again, thank you to all of you that attended.

Weekend Excitement

Megan had a sleepover last weekend with her cousin 'Kassidy'. Megan enjoyed every minute of her sleepover, in fact, she had so much fun that she didn't want to go to bed and we could get her to do just about anything we asked of her. Megan and Kassidy played games, read books, watched Bugs Life, played with play dough, went to church, played and played. Attached are a few pictures from the sleepover.

Also, I don't want to leave Spencer out of this blog, so attached are a few pictures. This coming Friday, he will be 6 weeks old. WoW! Does time fly or what? He is so sweet and now he is sleeping through the night from 11:30 pm till 5:00 am. He is on the 9, 1 and 5 schedule for feeding and it's really working out. He has giggled and coo'd (if that's how you spell it?). He has the cutest voice.

Yes, that's a real bear cub!! Doug took Megan to the Sportsmen 2009 Expo today with Grandpa Prawitt and Uncle Marc. Doug loves the outdoors and wanted to share it with Megan. All week he talked to her about seeing splash dogs, fishing and to see a bear cub. She was excited to go with Daddy. Megan caught two fishes, saw splash dogs (some of the dogs got up to 7 feet high) and was able to hold a bear cub for $10.00. Megan was not afraid at all, in fact, she held out her hands to hold it just like she does when she wants to hold her baby brother. When the time came to leave, she was very sad. Uncle Marc was trying to cheer her up and she said, 'No'. Uncle Marc asked her why and she responded, 'Because I'm onrery'. (That is Megan's new phrase when we ask her what's wrong).

End of Spring Break

It was Spring Break this week for Doug along with many other events that took place. My Great Aunt Elma passed away and her funeral was on Tuesday, therfore we had visitors on Monday who were in town. My Great Aunt Elma was a wonderful, beautiful, kind, and loving woman who I loved dearly. My brother and sister-in-law had their baby girl 'Eliana K Mecham' on Tuesday at IMC. She is a beautiful baby girl!! Our thoughts and prayers go out to them and wish them a quick recovery. Eliana had to have surgery on her heart Thursday afternoon. With everything that took place this week, we took Megan to the park today. She was in heaven. Here is a couple of pictures. Enjoy!!

All Is Well

Gosh! Time passes by so quickly. All is well at the Prawitt's home. I am loving my little guy and Megan is such a big helper. She is a Great BIG sister and LOVES her little brother. However, the one thing I truely miss is SLEEPING. I am working really hard on getting Spencer on a schedule (10 - 2 - 6), so far so good, however with one exception --- Spencer is wide awake at 10 pm - 2 am. Any suggestions on how to turn this little guy schedule around?

Cute story....Megan and Spencer share a room, so whenever Spencer starts crying, Megan covers both of her ears with her hands and yells, "Mom, Dad - baby is crying". It's really cute, hopefully I can grab the camera one of these nights and take a picture to share it with you all (that's if I remember at 1 am).

No More Lights

Spencer's bilirubin level is down to 12.1 from 18.6. Yea!!! Doug and I were very happy to hear the good news. We now can hold our sweet, adorable Spencer. Thank you for all the prayers.

Spencer is doing a little bit better, however, he has to continue to be under the lights for jaundice. Doug and I take him to Davis Hospital each day to the lab to have his heel poked for blood work. (his poor heels) The doctor calls us with an update of his billiribun level within the hours of the test. Today it's at 17. Wish us luck tomorrow.

Update on Baby Spencer

Baby Spencer has jaundice. His bilirubin was at 12.9 at discharged and had labs drown again at Davis Hospital and results were not good. His bilirubin was up to 18.6 and the doctor wanted him under the belly lights. Praxair dropped off he belly lights today and he will be under the lights at all times with the exceptions of feeding, bathing and changing diapers. Spencer will be going back to Davis Hospital to have his blood drawn again to check his levels. Please keep him in your prayers and thoughts. I will keep you updated.

Spencer Douglas Prawitt was born on Friday, February 13, 2009 at 1:21 pm weighing 7 lbs and 8 oz and 19 inches long. Spencer was 2 days early and still weighed more than his big sister. Four days left and counting....

Well, we have made it this far and will make it to Friday, Feb. 13th. I am determined that we will make it to the end. I have one more appointment on Wednesday to check to see if I have made any progress, as of Friday, Feb. 6th I was at a one. If there is no progress, then Dr. Barney would like to admit me on Thursday night instead of Friday morning. Geez.... only four more days left and I can't hardly wait.

Friday the 13th of February

Friday, January 30th, I had another visit to the doctor's office. I asked a question that usually does not get asked at all, I asked Dr. Barney if we could push the date to the 13th of February instead of the 6th or 9th. My due date is the 15th of Feb and if we could, I would like to be induced on Friday the 13th. The doctor left the room to check to see if there was availability and there was. So, the day is set for Friday the 13th to be induced and deliver baby Spencer at Jordan Valley Medical Center in West Jordan.

Now a few of you may be wondering 'what in the world is she thinking?' Well, a few reasons as to why we asked for Friday the 13th......

(1) Doug was born on a Friday the 13th
(2) Spencer is the 13th grandchild on my parents side
(3) This gives me more time at work to wrap up a few items of business that is necessary before I take maternity leave for 12 weeks.

On Friday, January 30th, my friends and boss thru a baby shower for me. I received many wonderful, blue, and adorable gifts. To all my friends at work, thank you so much!!

Well, the only thing left for me to do is work and count down the days till Friday the 13th comes. Yea!!!

A Surprise Baby Shower!!

My sister Heather tricked me yesterday into believing that we were getting together to go through her youngest daughters clothes for Megan. Afterwards, we were heading to lunch and do a little shopping. I was WRONG!! Heather and Doug had worked out a surprise baby shower for me. Some how, Doug was able to keep the secret from me. He even invited some co-workers without me knowing. Very Sneeky!! I loved every minute of it. It was a lot of fun seeing family and friends and receiving the cutest litle boy clothes ever. I never thought little boy clothes could be so much fun. This really helped me get even more excited to have little Spencer.

36 Weeks and 5 Days Appointment

Another appointment with Dr. Barney today. After waiting for an hour and half for the doctor to return after an emergency delivery, I received nothing but good news. The estimate weight of Spencer is about 5 lbs or 5.5 lbs. (average size). Also, February 6th is still in question at this time. Hopefully the next appointment we will have a date for sure. All I can do is take one day at a time.

I have another appointment this coming Friday to confirm a date for delivery. If February 6th is out of the question, then I would like Friday, February 13th. Doug was born on Friday the 13th and it would be fun to have his son on Friday the 13th, plus this is the 13th grandchild for my parents and the 2nd for Doug's. Stay tuned for more to come.....

My Pregnant belly at 35 weeks.

Megan loves to dress up and wear mommie's shoes. In fact just the other night after I arrived home from work and took off my boots, she instantly was putting them on along with her hat, gloves and scarf. She was pretending to build a pink snowman in our home with mommie's boots. She was having so much fun, that I couldn't tell her that she was going to ruin my boots. Instead I had to pull out the camera and play along with her. The next morning, she told daddy that she had built a snowman and it was pink. She was very proud of it. She wanted to take her gloves to grandma's and help build a snowman at her house. What an imagination my little girl has.

Megan also enjoys doing her own hair. This is just one of her hairdo's. Isn't she beautiful?

Due Date - February 6, 2009

I will be induced on Friday, February 6th. I am so looking forward to this date. Three weeks from tomorrow.
Today I had my last appointment with my cardiologist until I deliver. That's a relief. Now, I only have to go see my OBGYN for the next three weeks. So close but yet so far away.

PCMC Appointment Today

Doug and I headed up to PCMC (Primary Children's Medical Center) today for a fetal echo ultrasound on the Baby Spencer's heart. It is amazing what an technology can do these days.
The tech had a hard time getting a good picture of his heart because he is soooo active. Each time she had a good picture, he would quickly turn over or put his hands up to block the view. He was making it very challenging. At one point, the tech did allow us to view his little face and hands because she was curious as to what this little guy was up too and why he was making it SO difficult. As we were watching, we were able to see one tiny fist reaching up to his mouth and then the other hand coming up making a peace sign. The tech took the sign that he was okay having the ultrasound done and he would cooperate. So, the tech continued on with the ultrasound, she was able to get good pictures and sounds and then just as she was wrapping it up, Baby Spencer started kicking, moving and turning over. I guess Baby Spencer must have thought that he gave her plenty of time and it was his time to move once again. Hey, there is only so much room in the belly to move around. I don't blame the little guy, however, I would love it if he would go to sleep once in awhile. Doug and I agree that this child is a lot more active then Megan was in the belly.

All is well with Baby Spencer's heart. The cardiologist did not find anything but a healthy looking heart. Doug and I are relieved to hear this news!!

Megan's BFF

Zach and Connor came for a quick visit to Utah and stopped by to say 'hello' and 'play' with Megan. Megan was tickled pink to see her best friend (Zach) and her little buddy (Connor). We let the kids play for a bit with Megan's new Geo Track Trains and Geo Planes that Santa had brought her for Christmas. Shortly after, we headed out to McDonalds to play. The little ones were more interested in playing then eating. What kids aren't? It was a lot of fun to see the Stenquist family for a visit and chat. We had a lot of laughs and giggles trying to get all three of them to sit on the slide to take one picture. As you can see in the pictures above that it took more than one picture.

34 Week Appointment

A few things that were discussed and discovered during the doctor's appointment today.....
1. Are charlie horses common during pregnancy? Yes, very common due changing PH level in your blood. To prevent, the doctor stated to avoid high heels which shorten the muscle and stretch your calf muscles morning and night.
2. Due Date? Since I went two weeks over due with Megan, the doctor is planning to induce February 6th or February 9th. We are leaning towards February 6th. and hoping all goes well.

So. with that news..... I only have 5 weeks left instead of 6 weeks. This is fantastic news and I wanted to share it all with you.

Snowman on Christmas Day

Daddy and Megan building a snowman on Christmas Day. Grandma and Grandpa gave Megan boots, gloves and a hat for Christmas. Grandma had Megan try them on and it was history after that.
Uncle Jon and Uncle Dan came out to help us with our snowman.
Grandma found a hat, two oranges for the eyes, a banana for the mouth and a yam for the nose. Uncle Jon found two branches for the arms.
